My YEAR in the States.

I have offically cancelled my high school year for something unselfish. I am going to Ecuador to volunteer at a Rescue Center in October.

Why I cancelled? Because of that reason. I had already payed and everything but I decided to cancel it for this and 10 weeks in the States studying language in San Fransisco (or Boston).

You may unfriend me if you want but I still want you here of course.

Okay, here it is. Yesterday, It looked like I wouldn't be able to go. School trouble...(Skolan satte käppar i hjulet så att säga)... but now it has been decided that I will go for an entire year! Starting in August -08. Yesterday I was pretty doubtful about that though, because that would mean that I wouldn't be able to graduate with my friends..So I thought about just skipping it. Horrible thought really. But as I talked to my awesome student counselor I decided to go. Hard decision but now it has been made so...I'm going to graduate when I'm 20...Oh yeah, that's sounds so...old. *snickers*

Right now it all feels great and I'm that everything isn't in such a rush anymore. So that's nice.

So I'm leaving in August next year instead.

Nothing special has happened yet but I'm starting to get a little nervous even if it's about 5 months left. Anyway, that's all for me for now since I'm in school when I'm writing this. :/

My computer has crashed...But I can tell you that nothing more has happened yet and hopefully I'll get my computer back before it does. :)

Hi all of you who have added me.  Well, I just thought I'd start off by introducing myself.  My name is Madeleine and I'm 17 years old (turning 18 in february) and well the reason that I wanted to go off to the US on an exchange semester was because I both needed a challenge. I mean a REAL challenge which this is going to be. Just think about it...talking english ALL the time when I'm used to only talking it on english lessons...That's what I think is going to be the hardest for me. I am used to reading/hearing english all the time but talking? That's kinda lacking but hopefully I get better at that. :) 

So far the only things that I've found out is that I have to take like 6 vaccination shots and there might be even more and a complete health check-up which is going to cost 1000 kr. (= Approx. 150 dollars) and sometime soon I'm going to get to know which state I'm going to be in...Hopefully soon so I can start buying clothes. 

Anyway, this blog thing might be a bit more interesting if you knew somethings about me so here goes. 

Favorite movie: Brokeback Mountain and About A Boy
Favorite bands : The Clash, Lostprophets, Sex Pistols and Billy Talent.
Tv shows : Prison Break, LOST , Heroes and Angel (when it was still going). 
Favorite colour: Blue because it represents freedom to me.
Favorite subjects in school: Psycology, communication through writing and History. 
Worst subjects: Maths. No question about it! 
Three good things about me: (Wow I can never just say these things...) Err...I'm nice, tolerant and loyal.
Three bad things about me: (much easier to say...) Impatient, lazy and can be asocial at times. 
Things that are important to me: To have time for just myself with no one interrupting and music. My friends mean a huge deal to me too. :)
